Zanobia Sewing Alterations is the best place in Durham to get your dry-cleaning done and have your clothes tailored. They are fast, do a fantastic job at both and are always very warm and friendly. They also sell really pretty cloth napkins and table cloths that I have bought for myself and given as gifts. We have been using them for years and will not go anywhere else! Came in with a cashmere sweater that had some holes in it and their team mended the holes to the point that you couldn't even tell there was an issue! The service was also super quick and very reasonably priced. When I first came to Zanobia's I had an overly sized wedding dress, no vision, and a crunch for time. Her schedule was jammed packed and I am thankful that she made room for me. Initially I was going to get married in matching sweatsuits (Tom Boy at heart) so, I would continuously ask her what she thought. Her reply was always , " What do you want?" (non-verbatim). Not only was she caring , she was also intentional with her craft. If only you all could see what the dress looked like before. Zanobia's final product was amazing and fit the look I did not even know I was going for. My favorite detail in the design allowed me to transition from a fuller dress to an extended train. Farheen is a fantastic seamstress and gives quality customer service! She greets everyone with a warm smile and kind hello. She does her best to answer questions and fix/alter all customer requests. She’s always honest about her work and what is able to be done. I trust her with all my clothing needs!
